Bio Blitz
Age: suitable for all ages (children must be supervised by parent/guardian)
Description:
Want to know what wildlife lives on your doorstep?
What is a BioBlitz? A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. By taking part, you’ll learn how to identify species, how to record your sightings, and meet others who are interested in nature!
Drop in to bug hunt, bird watch or examine plants and trees. The data you collect will help Staffordshire’s Ecological Records service protect wildlife for future generations.
We will be using the iNaturalist app (green bird icon on app) to record our amazing wildlife finds. If you have the free iNaturalist app or website log in (https://uk.inaturalist.org/) then you can record as you go, with help from the Ranger, and your observations will all collect in the specially created bioblitz project.
If you don’t have a log in, or don’t want access to iNaturalist then don’t worry, the site team will help to take records with you
