Inside Our Church

Experience an atmosphere in a building which has been at the heart of a community for centuries and is still loved and cared for now. The interior of Sandon All Saints reflects its evolution from a Saxon Church through to the arrival of the 21st century and modern conveniences. Perhaps no building can really reflect the lives and times of a community as well as a church, and we are rich in historical artifacts and the stories behind them.

Six Special Features

As you explore, we would love to highlight six special features that distinguish this historic church, some of which support its Grade I Listing and are of special historical significance.

Each feature, large and small, contributes to the story of All Saints. We hope that you enjoy discovering the symbolism, the people, and the stories that have shaped our history.

Bell Ringing at Sandon All Saints

In the heart of Sandon, the art of bell ringing has found its home. The melody of our 6 bells sings out from skilled hands pulling on ancient ropes, the sound no less beautiful now as it was when the oldest of our bells was cast in 1609.

Delve into the rich heritage and rhythmic allure of bell ringing, an art that transcends mere sound, carrying with it the stories, celebrations, and solemnities that have marked the chapters of our shared history.
