AT SANDON

More than 120 guests were received by the Earl and Countess of Harrowby at the ball held at Sandon Hall on Saturday. Lady Harrowby, who is recovering from a thigh injury, received the guests from a wheelchair.

The M.C. Miss Batchelor-Flint presented a bouquet to Lady Harrowby. Music was provided by a string orchestra.

The rally began with visits to Meaford Power Station and Simplex Electric Company Limited, Blythe Bridge, on Saturday, followed later in the day by a military display at Whittington Barracks.

On Sunday members of the Society attended morning service at Sandon Church.
