SANDON

Village Club.—On Friday a successful dance, organised by the club committee in aid of funds, was held in the Village Club, Sandon. Mr. Tom Hammond was M.C. and the stewards were Messrs. Dong, Bentley, Charles and Peter Holford (Club Secretary) who was also responsible for the arrangements. The ladies’ committee arranged and served refreshments under the direction of Mrs. Peter Holford.—Winners at the Club’s weekly whist drive were: Mrs. K. Clowes, Miss. M. Foster, Mrs. E. Rollett, Mr. L. Bailey, Mrs. W. Parslow and Mr. Eric Myatt. Proceeds were for Club funds.
