Death of Sandon Postmistress

Mrs. Anne Louse Wheeler, who had been post-mistress of Sandon for over 20 years, died on Wednesday night following a short illness. Aged 73, she was a popular and respected figure in village life, and was at work until after the Christmas period. Born at Salt, she went to live at Sandon about 70 years ago. Her husband died some years ago, and she is survived by a sister, living in London. The funeral is at Sandon Church to-day (Saturday).
