Sandon church school decision

A PARISH meeting was held at Sandon Village Hall on Tuesday, to decide the future of the church school. The vicar, the Rev. W.R. Buckland, was chairman, and after alternative proposals had been explained and discussed, a decision was relucantly taken that the managers should apply for controlled status, as it was felt that the high cost of retaining the present system was beyond the capacity of the district.

Regret was expressed at the passing of the old order, and the work of the managers and teaching staff of the school during the past years was acknowledged.
