SANDON

Parochial Outing.—On Saturday, Sandon Church Parochial outing was held. In excellent weather, two motor-coaches parties, comprising the choir, organist, Sunday school members, the Vicar (the Rev. W.B. Buckland) and family, and a good number of parishioners, went to Alton Towers, where a picnic lunch was taken in the grounds, and Matlock Bath. The party visited the caves, wishing wells and petriefying [sic] springs, and also explored the old lead mines.
