DEATH OF EX-TEACHER

Former Stafford area schoolteacher Jean Blakeman died in hospital on the Isle of Wight last week. Mrs. Blakeman, 69, taught at Penkridge, Oulton, Tittensor, Stone, Sandon and Moddershall primary schools before she retired.

Mrs. Blakeman, who lived at Stone Bench Farm, Sandon, was also the organist and choir master at Sandon Church for 20 years and Oulton Church for 10 years. She leaves a widower and one daughter.
