Course on Old chapels, Churches
Old churches and chapels have an architectural interest and importance. They also have a mine of information for the local historian.
To enable people to examine some aspects of old churches, Keele University’s Adult Education Department is organising a series of conducted visits during June and July.
There will be coach trips on six Saturday afternoons, from June 7th, to Sandon Church, Croxden Abbey, Ingestre, various chapels in the Potteries, Cheadle and Alton, and Lichfield Cathedral respectively.
In addition, there will be a lecture by Mr. D.G. Stuart, lecturer in history on the theme of the course, “Medieval Parish Churches and the local community.”
