Poppy Day Collection.—The British Legion report a record collection this year for Earl Haig’s Poppy Day Fund. The total sum, £37 2s. 5d., was made up as follows:—

Mountford), £1 14s. 7d.; Salt Church collection £1.; Burston (Miss E. Johnson), £1 15s 6d,; Burston Church collection, £2 3s. 9d.; Sandon, Mrs R. Johnson. £1 9s. 5d. Mrs. S. Berresford, £3 14s. 2d., Mrs. F. Cloke, £2 3s. 8d., Mrs. R. Alcock, £1 13s. 9d.; Sandon Church collection, £3 1s. 6d; Smallrise (Mrs. Robson), £1 10s. 3d.; Hopton (Mr. J. Challinor), £1 17s. 10d.
