SANDON--. On Sunday week a harvest thanksgiving service was held in Sandon Church. The sermon in the morning was preached by the Rev. W.G. Cowie, rector of Stafford. The proceeds of the collection, which was an unusually large one, amounting to about £20, are to be given to the New Zealand Bishopric Endowment Fund. The Earl of Harrowby performed his duties as churchwarden on the occasion.
