Southern—Greenup

The bride’s father, the Rev. G.F. Greenup (vicar of Sandon) officiated at the wedding at Sandon Church last Thursday of Mr. Gerald Robert Southern, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Southern, of Green-lane, Westcot, Bucks., and Miss Alison Daphne St. L. Greenup, only child of the Rev. and Mrs. G.F. Greenup, of the Vicarage, Sandon.

Given away by her uncle, Dr. Q.St.L. Myles, the bride wore a full-length gown of white nylon lace, with a pearl and diamante coronet. She carried a bouquet of red and cream roses and lilies of the valley.

She was attended by Miss Angela Taylor and Miss Helena McLean, who wore full-length dresses of royal blue nylon, and by Miss Bridget Hooney, who wore a dress of primrose nylon. All wore coronets of cream roses. The best man ws Dr. D. Sutton.

The reception was held at the Vicarage, Sandon, and the health of the bride and groom was proposed by Dr. H. Maggs, Director of the Rocket Propulsion Establishment, Westcot, to which the groom belongs.

After the reception, the bride and groom left for a wedding tour of the Lake District. The bride wore a royal blue Jersey suit, piped with white, with a royal blue hat.
