SANDON

Farmer Weds.—The wedding took place at Sandon Church, on Saturday, the Rev. W.B. Buckland (vicar) officiating, of Mr. Joseph Harvey Silvester, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Silvester, Hardewick Grove Farm, Sandon, and Miss Irene Marjorie Sherratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Sherratt, New Farm, Hollywood, Stone.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white satin beaute [type of fabric] with a veil, and headdress of lilies. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bridesmaids were Misses L. and I. Sherratt (bride’s sisters); who were attired in turquoise blue silk with headdresses. They carried bouquets of pink tulips and prayer books, the gifts of the bridegroom. The small attendant was Irene Yardley (bridegroom’s cousin) who was dressed in pink figured silk. She carried a posy of anemones and wore a pearl necklace, the gift of the bridegroom. About 100 guests attended a reception at the bridegroom’s home. The honeymoon is being spent at Blackpool. The bride travelled in a blue crepe two-piece suit with brown accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Silvester’s future address will be Hardewick Grove Farm.
