SANDON

Funeral of Mr. William Dale.—The funeral of Mr. William Dale, New Farm, Herdewick, Sandon, took place at Sandon Church on Saturday, the Rev. J.D. Charlesworth officiating. Mr. Bridgeman was the organist. Mr. Dale, who was 59, had been at the New Farm on the Sandon estate all his married life. The family mourners were the widow, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Dale (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Plant, Ashby-de-la-Zouch (son-in-law and daughter), Miss Amy Dale (daughter), Mr. and Mrs. P. Rhodes (brother-in-law and sister), Miss. D. Dale (sister), Mr. and Mrs. W. Betts, Mr. Charles Boulton, Mr. and Mrs. A. Betts, Uttoxeter (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), Mrs. E. Sadler (niece) and Mr. J. Rhodes (nephew). Among others present were Mr. Frank Goodwin (Stone Rural Council), Mr. J.T. Johnson, Mr. F. Woolley, Miss Ada Leese, Mr. Pickwell, the Misses Pickwell (Manchester), Mr. J. Elkin, Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips (Cannock), Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shaw (Atherstone), and Mr. F. W. Ridout (Rugeley). The bearers were Mr. Mervyn Leese (Hardewick), Mr. Chas. Bagnall (Birmingham), Mr. Tom Hall (Hilderstone), and Mr. Frank Ainsworth (Hardewick).
