At the Dog and Doublet, Sandon, Little Stoke Cricket Club had a “full house” for their annual Ball. During the evening, cricketers present devised and despatched a cablegram to Mr. John Dennis, captain of the Club’s 2nd XI. Who is spending the winter in Australia seeing much of the cricket taking place. The cable asked Mr. Dennis to especially congratulate, on behalf of the Club and Stone cricketers, both Mr. M. C. Cowdrey and Mr. F. Tyson on their fine performances.
At Sandon Village Club, a record crowd of 160, including an unexpected contingent from Eccleshall, spent a joyous evening.
