Haynes—Leese
Mr William Edward Haynes, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Haynes, of Stonehouse Farm, Sandon, was married at All Saints’ Church, Sandon on Saturrday to Miss Hilda May Leese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Leese, of Hill Farm, Hardewick, Sandon. The Vicar (the Rev. C. Greenup) officiated.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a full-length gown of white lace over net and her short, nylon net veil was secured by a single white rose.
She was attended by her sister, Miss Margaret Leese, who wore a dress of lilac nylon, and her cousins, the Misses Christine Lomax and Janet Tomkinson, who wore blue nylon dresses with white flowered head-dresses. All three wore white gloves and shoes.
Mr. Tom Haynes (bridegroom’s brother) was best man and the groomsmen were Mr. Tom Lomax and Mr. Lawrence Bailey.
The reception was held at Sandon Village Hall, attended by 80 guests.
