Whist Drive and Dance.—On Wednesday evening a whist drive and dance took place at the Sandon Village Club in aid of the Nurses’ Association. About 80 people sat down to whist, which, with on exception, had been given by the Countess of Harrow, as follows:—Ladies: 1. Miss Knight, Burston: 2. Miss Harper: 3, Mrs. Whittaker. Gentlemen: 1. Mr. J. Askey: 2. Mr. G. Goodwin. Dancing was kept toil the early hours ,and a most enjoyable evening was spent. Refreshments were provided by the ladies, and Mrs. W.E. Wright, Sandon Farm, ably managed this important part of the programme.
