SANDON

Nursing Association Dance.—The Sandon and District Nursing Association held their annual dance in the Village Club, Bassett’s band providing the music, Mr. L. Raybould was the M.C. and Mrs. A.H. Wright (hon. Secretary) had charge of the refreshments.

Effort for Choir Fund.—The Sandon Church choir, assisted by Mrs. Buckingham and party, gave an entertainment in the Parish Room on Friday, when there was a crowded audience. The programme consisted of songs and dances by the junior members, musical items and songs by Mrs. Buckingham and Masters C. and E. Buckingham, and the senior members gave minstrel items and a sketch entitled “An Unexpected Bargain,” The vicar thanked those who had helped to make the evening a success. The proceeds were in aid of the choir fund.
